An eternity to make mistakes means an eternity to forgive each other. We spent a century apart... we each believed the other dead and gone. We had ample time and opportunity to reflect upon our regrets. I hope we've grown enough that we would not make the same mistakes again... though of course there is every chance that we will make entirely new ones.
