Folkmore Permissions
character information NAME.
Louis de Pointe du Lac.

CANON.
The Vampire Chronicles, by Anne Rice.

AGE.
25 physically, 200+ chronologically.

SPECIES.
Vampire.
in character permissions PHYSICAL AFFECTION. Yes; he will be flustered. Unless he's freshly fed, he will be unsettlingly cold to the touch. Almost like... a corpse? Hmm...

ROMANCE. Louis is too in love with Lestat to reciprocate, but flirting is welcome. He has a special weakness for blond men.

VIOLENCE. Yes! Louis loves arguing, and he can throw a decent punch.

INJURIES. Yes! Louis is a vampire, so even severe injuries will heal with a few days of sleep. He's several times stronger and faster than an ordinary human being, but he is still flesh and blood.
DEATH. Yes, if it comes up. Louis is difficult to kill, but it is entirely possible. It would take fire, sunlight, or the destruction of his heart or brain.

MIND READING. Louis has no mental shields. Psychic/empathic characters can feel free to pick up on any surface emotions and thoughts — that is, if it's prose in a tag, it's probably fair game. For anything deeper, drop me a line so we can chat about specifics. Louis will be pretty crabby about realizing someone's digging around in there without permission, but he can't do much about it.

CONTENT WARNINGS & SENSITIVE TOPICS. Louis is a vampire! Genre-relevant warnings may apply to some threads: mentions of topics like blood, murder, death, et cetera. He's also a bottomless pit of guilt and self-loathing, and his grief over his dead child is never too far from his mind. He has some passive suicidal ideation tied to his immortality, but it isn't likely to come up without warning.

TOPICS TO AVOID. None that I can think of.
out of character permissions BACKTAGGING. Yes. Likewise, if I've let a tag sit for more than a week, feel free to poke me about it. There's a very good chance it went into my memory hole.

FOURTH WALLING. Yes, absolutely! In Louis's case, his canon, Interview with the Vampire, was published in-universe and passed off as a work of fiction. If you've heard of him, he'll just sigh. If you tell him they made a movie out of it, he'll ask whether it was any good. If you're one of Lestat's fans... well, so is he, but he's embarrassed about it.

THREAD HOPPING. If it's an open network thread, no need to ask. I'll PM if there's any issue!

OOC LIMITS & WARNINGS. No hard limits from me! I'll touch base if a thread starts going somewhere I'd rather not take it.

ANYTHING ELSE? I'm still getting a feel for which threads require content warnings, so if I ever slip up, please let me know! I try to warn for obvious things, but The Vampire Chronicles is a very dark canon, and Louis himself can be very morbid. My internal barometer might be slightly off! But I'm always willing to change the direction of a thread for the sake of player comfort — just give me a heads up.
